Questions about The Vanishing Act and The Storykeeper

Locurio does not have a private parking lot, however, metered 2-hour street parking can be found throughout the Fremont neighborhood. There are also many free 2-hour spots on 34th and 35th streets, west of Evanston Avenue. Most metered parking is free on Sundays.

If you're planning to spend the day in Fremont, parking lots with day rates are available on 34th St. underneath Dreamland, and 35th St. across from the Fremont Public Library.

Please allow extra time to find parking on Sundays due to the Fremont Sunday Market. The market runs year-round, and parking can be hard to find.

All players should go to the alley behind the PCC, accessible on foot from Evanston Ave on the west (between Destee-Nation Shirt Company and PCC) or Fremont Ave N on the east (via the stairs near Aesop). We're located to the left of the entrance to the Fremont Vintage Mall, in Suite 102 of the Fremont Annex. When you arrive, please enter Suite 102 via the alley. If locked, please call (206) 371-2835 and a Locurio staff member will escort your team inside.

No. In our escape rooms, your goal is to solve the mystery and successfully reach the conclusion of the story. The door remains unlocked for the entire game, and players are welcome to step outside or visit the restroom at any time.

No. The puzzles in the room have been designed so that anyone can solve them, not just puzzle enthusiasts. The puzzles may deal with words, numbers, images, or the manipulation of physical objects. The game also tests your skills of observation, communication, organization, and teamwork. There are lots of ways for everyone to contribute to the game and enjoy the experience.

No. Everything you will need to play the game will be provided for you inside the room. We do recommend comfortable shoes, since you will be on your feet exploring the space for the duration of the game.

Our escape rooms include areas decorated with a dark and spooky theme, and some prop and character interactions that are intended to surprise or spook players. Our games are not horror or haunt-style experiences, however, and these elements are not the main focus of our games. Our intention is not to harrass players or test their limits, but to entertain and delight players with spooky surprises as they fit within the narrative of the game.

The Vanishing Act in particular deals with mature or dark concepts which may not be appropriate for children.

From start to finish, the entire experience is about 1 hour and 45 minutes long. Players will have 75 minutes to complete the escape room, with around 15 minutes of rules and information before the game, and 15 minutes after the game for debriefing and photos. Some teams may complete the game in under 75 minutes.

In our escape rooms, you are never locked in, therefore your goal is to solve a mystery or reach the conclusion of a story, not to find the final key or code to unlock the door to the room. If you don't successfully complete the game, you will receive a different narrative ending to your experience, but our staff will be happy to explain any puzzles that weren't solved or moments you may have missed.
